This post is not my best.  Skip to the next if you’re short on time.

But if you have a lazy Sunday afternoon or evening, keep reading here.

I’m not much of an inspirational quote guy.  Many of them are time-wasters and BS.  But I’ve let these sink in a bit.

Give them a shot.

“It is under the greatest adversity that there exists the greatest potential for doing good, both for oneself and others.”

“People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.”

“Hard times build determination and inner strength. Through them we can also come to appreciate the uselessness of anger. Instead of getting angry nurture a deep caring and respect for troublemakers because by creating such trying circumstances they provide us with invaluable opportunities to practice tolerance and patience.”

“Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.”

“When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways–either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits, or by using the challenge to find our inner strength.”

“If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”

The last one is spot on.

Good words. Maybe the Huskers should listen to them after being outsmarted Saturday by the other team with a “N” on their helmets that stands for kNOWLEDGE…..

No doubt, Rog. Northwestern came in an administered a clinic.

Bo Pelini needs to learn how to use timeouts.

Okie State is rolling, baby. They gonna play for the title? Wow. Must be some serious feel-good in Stillwater.

    Come at me. I’m a man. I’m 40.

    Roll on, Pokes.

Let’s say most fans are cautiously optimistic…as this is only the 2nd 9-0 team in Poke history. Many still are on pins/needles…waiting for a Poke choke. I would say they have a 50-50 chance going undefeated into the OU game. I’ll still take OU straight up in that game….until Gundy can beat them, I’ll take OU every time.

Playing for a title? Ask me about that in a month and we’ll discuss…

I too will take OU straight up. However, Broyles’ injury changes things. College players with obvious draft day payoffs – should leave school early! Take the money and run. Life is too short to stick around Campustown and risk getting a knee roached. Just ask Bradford and Broyles.
