I know a guy who has Alzheimer’s disease. You would not wish this disease on your second-to-worst enemy.

(I reserve your worst enemy for your discretion.)

Alzheimer’s occurs when an amylase protein our bodies naturally produce starts to build up in our brains, and our systems do not eliminate it correctly. Consequently, that protein-buildup inflames brain tissue, which inflammation destroys neurons. Neurons are pretty important–as you might guess.

It appears that a component of tumeric, which is a component in yellow mustard, helps.

It’s called curcumin. It seems to bust up the Alzheimer’s protein–and perhaps it actually reverses Alzheimer’s.

Read here for a scientific discussion about curcumin.

Or just listen to some disco music to help your brain:

You should download and play a few tracks of this guy’s favorite music for him…from back in the day. And hopefully his smile will reward and make your day.

Also, I’ve seen KC and his band o’ sunshine … twice. Lucky me. Back-to-back summers at the famed Chastain Park Amphitheater here in ATL. This was not in 70s either. But rather the Oughts. First year, The Commodores sans Lionel Ritchie opened. The ‘Dores were better. Second year, the Village People opened. Both years, were the same exact show from KC — same set list, same outfits, same dancers, … same lameness.

Somehow, this was supposed to entice 3Ls to come join our firm. “Join our firm; it’s like 1979! But you can’t smoke in the office!”

Is CPA on a lake? Didn’t we golf there, and you and Fritchman talked about bands at that venue?

Funny how people used to smoke in offices, airplanes, the car with children, and in their homes. What a different world …

I think there is a small lake along the golf course there. The amphitheater is up the hill from the GC though. It’s in the middle of an old/swanky neighborhood, so the concerts have to wrap by 11:00 pm.
